Everest base camp trek is a brilliant departure through the striking Khumbu valley. It is a world-renowned epic adventure trip that demands a lot regarding the fitness. The natural appeal of the Himalayas, woods, and rare wildlife found in the alpine region along with the Sherpa culture, heritage and hospitality have contributed this journey the most admired excursions in the Himalayas of Nepal.

Trek to Everest base camp embarks from the tiny airstrip of Lukla. Then it goes through the striking forest and fields, you climb up to the heavily populated villages by the Sherpa people- Namche Bazaar and Khumjung. Exploration of Sherpa lifestyles, cultural part, colorful monastery, chhortens, mani walls and hospitality increase the charm of the trek to Everest base camp that escorts you to the bottom of the world’s highest peak- Mt. EVEREST (8848 meters). The trip is also popular due to the first Everest expedition trip, introduced by the Everest climbers Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Edmund Hilary. Outline Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.
  • Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.
  • Day 03: Flight to Lukla (2840m) and 3 hours trek to Phakding (2610m).
  • Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 5-6 hours.
  • Day 05: Rest day and visit up to Khumjung valley and come down to Namche.
  • Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860m). 5 hrs
  • Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m). 6 hrs
  • Day 08: Rest day.
  • Day 09: Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m). 5 hrs
  • Day 10: Trek to Gorakhsep (5140m) to Everest base camp (5300m) 8-9 hours
  • Day 11: Early morning ascend to Kalapatthar (5550m) and return down to Pheriche.
  • Day 12: Trek to down to Namche Bazaar. 6-7 hours.
  • Day 13: Trek to Lukla 3-4 hours.
  • Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Detail Itinerary

Welcome to Nepal. You will be greeted by the representative of Just Adventure Nepal and transfer you to the hotel. In the evening, you will get a short briefing about the trip overview. Overnight at hotel.
A wonderful sightseeing day begins after the breakfast. You set out for the sightseeing in the Kathmandu valley, especially the UNESSCO listed world heritage sites. Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, BoudhanaTH Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square are some of them. They are rich in mediaeval arts and architectures. Then back to the hotel and prepare for the trek. Overnight at hotel.
Early in the morning, catch a flight to Lukla from the domestic airport of Kathmandu. From Lukla, you begin to trek passing some of the beautiful villages and enjoying the scenery of fields. The painted Mani walls make your trek further exciting and gradually, you reach to Phakding. Overnight at lodge.
From Phakding, you begin the trek after the breakfast. Gradually, you reach to Monjo after passing some bridges and eventually we encounter with the brilliant view of Kongde Ri. Then you officially enter into the Sagarmatha National Park. It’s a continual uphill climb to Namche Bazaar from there. The stunning Everest peak can be explored. Overnight at lodge.
Namche Bazaar is the center for everything. It is a trade center for the Khumbu region and a densely populated by the Sherpa people, which is in the shape of a horse-shoe. Walking around the Namche Bazaar after the breakfast helps you to acclimatize and fit with the alpine altitude. It is beneficial for the exploration of Sherpa culture equally.
After the breakfast, you head from Namche Bazaar, steadily uphill climb. Then you can walk through the gentle trail. After a short descend, you reach to the stream and follow its River bank. To your surprise, the Himalayan views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse Shar, Taboche, Kangtega and Thamserku can be seen from the trail. Then, it’s a steep ascend to the Tengbuche monastery. Overnight at lodge.
The trail is more rocky and the thin air region increases. Beginning the trek from Tengbuche exploring the sunrise over the Ama Dablam peak, you can feel the mystery of the Everest region. You pass Debuche, Milingo and cross the River. Heading continuously, you cross the bridge at Somare and the flat trail begins Overnight at lodge.
Due to the high altitude, you need to acclimatize. After the breakfast, hike to the Chhukung valley. It’s a route to the Island peak base camp. The hike is brilliant to explore the scenery of the enticing landscape, Himalayas and the barley fields. Back to Dingbuche and rest. Overnight at lodge.
After the breakfast, you ascend through the steep trail to Lobuche, passing through Dusa. You can see the memorials of the Everest climbers. Crossing the Thukla Pass, steadily you reach to Lobuche, which is a, excellent viewpoint of Mt. Nuptse, Cholatse, Pumori and Thamserku. Overnight at lodge.
From Lobuche, you begin the trek, enjoying the view of Khumbu glacier. Crossing the Lobuche pass, you reach to Gorakshep. After lunch, hike to the Everest base camp through the glacial moraine. After the splendid hike to the base of Mt. Everest, you hike down to Gorakshep and rest. Overnight at lodge.
This lovely morning, you hike upwards to the Kalapatthar for the excellent sunrise view over Mt. Everest and the neighboring 8000 meter peaks. Lhotse, Makalu, Ama Dblam and others are some of them. Spending brilliant time, hike down to Gorakshep. After the lunch, trek down to Pheriche and rest. Overnight at lodge.
From Pheriche, you begin the trek with a downhill trail after exploring the Tengbuche monastery and feeling blessed by the gods and goddess of the Himalayas. The trek depends on your interest and walking speed. Walking through the terraced downhill, you arrive at Namche Bazaar and rest. Overnight at lodge.
After the breakfast, you trek down to Monju and check out from the Sagarmatha National Park counter. Passing some of the steel bridges, you head to Lukla. The difficult trail you already dealt and the gentle trail begins. Passing Phakding, you cross the steel bridge and walk all the way to Lukla, where the trek concludes. It's time to rest and the celebration. Overnight at lodge.
We fly back to Kathmandu early in the morning from Lukla, enjoying the Everest Himalayan sceneries for the last time. Arriving at the airport, you will be transferred to the hotel and the day is up to you. You can do shopping or relax. Overnight at Hotel.

A deposit of £100 is payable to secure your place on the trip and the balance will be due in 35 days before the start of the tour. A monthly payment plans can be set up on request. If you book less than 35 days before the start of the trip than the full amount will be due immediately.
